Edoardo worked as a Senior Director in the Old Master Paintings department at Sotheby’s in London and in New York for almost twenty years. From 2021 until he founded Roberti Fine Art in 2024, he was the head of the Old Master Paintings and 19th Century Paintings departments in London and Europe.
Edoardo and the gallery have handled the sale of numerous significant artists including Correggio, Titian, Canaletto, Artemisia Gentileschi, Willem Drost, Rembrandt, El Greco, Klimt and Alphonse Mucha, among others.
Mathilde began her career as Gallery Manager at 1831 Art Gallery in Paris, a contemporary and modern art space. She then joined the Guggenheim Museum in Venice, working in the Publications department before moving to Florence to pursue a Master’s degree in the Management and Protection of Cultural Heritage.
It was during her time in Italy that she developed a deep appreciation for the Old Masters. This passion took her to London, where she spent nearly three years at Sotheby’s in the Old Master Paintings department, deepening her understanding of the art market. She is now based in Paris.
